Fantasy Baseball: Best Value by Position

   In the stacked Angels lineup there will be plenty of RBI opportunities,
   and we all know about the power aspect of Trumbo's game.

First Base: Mark Trumbo



   Finally back to full heath, Utley looks to regain the form he had prior to his injury.

Second Base: Chase Utley



   Middlebrooks was on a tier, and played with the best of his position before
   an injury ended his 2012 season.

Third Base: Will Middlebrooks



Shortstop: Jimmy Rollins



   .300 Average, 23 HR, 83 RBI & 79 Runs if his 2012 stats are prorated over a full season.

Catcher: Salvador Perez

Outfield:

1: Carl Crawford

      Former 1st or 2nd round pick before his injury issues. I believe a fresh start out in LA
      will do Crawford some good.

2: Alex Rios

      Quietly put up a solid 20-20 season last year.

3: Josh Willingham

      Not a great hitter for average, but if you're looking for a solid 30 HR, 100 RBI & 90 Runs,
      he's your guy.

Starting Pitcher:

1. Tim Lincecum

      Does one bad season ruin a career? My answer is NO. The guy still sports a career ERA
      of 3.31 and is a virtual lock every season for 200 K. I expect a rebound season.

2. Jake Peavy

      Player A:  219 IP, 3.37 ERA, 194 K, 49 BB, 1.10 WHIP
      Player B:  198.2 IP, 3.94 ERA, 184 K, 52 BB, 1.25 WHIP

   *You guessed it, player A is Jake Peavy (player B is Adam Wainwright). Peavy can be drafted on  
     average 60 picks later.

3. Jon Lester

      Looking for a rebound for the ace of the Boston staff to regain his form with John Farrell
      back in town, and minus (some) of the circus of last season.

Relief Pitcher: Glen Perkins

      Over a K/IP over the last two seasons along with a 2.50 ERA, and on a team most likely
      to be in a lot of close games.
